A structured, evidence-based social skills program.
PEERS® (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) is an evidence-based social skills program developed at the UCLA PEERS® Clinic. Research has shown that PEERS® can help children and teens improve social skills, build and maintain friendships, and increase confidence in social situations.
Unlike counseling, PEERS® focuses on teaching practical social skills rather than exploring personal experiences or emotions. Through direct instruction, modeling, role-play, practice, and feedback, children build a "social toolkit" to better understand social situations and apply these skills in everyday life.

Social skills are not always something children automatically understand. Some children naturally pick up social rules, while others benefit from having these skills explained clearly, practiced step by step, and supported through real experiences.
